📣PhD position in Plant and Conservation Ecology

👉 The Arctic University Museum of Norway at the UiT- The Arctic University of Norway is looking for a PhD candidate interested in Plant and Conservation Ecology.

👉This PhD project will evaluate methods for conservation, cultivation and revitalization of populations of threatened Northern Norwegian plants.

👉 Under the supervision of the garden's staff and using scientific methods, the fellow will investigate how propagation under controlled conditions can contribute to ex-situ conservation and to strengthening natural populations of threatened species in Northern Norway.

👉 Fieldwork will be carried out in the region, while most of the propagation and testing will be undertaken in the Tromsø Arctic-Alpine Botanical Garden and at other facilities at UiT.
